WMF Ikora vase from the 1930s

Sold
Item number: 439245

Description: Height 20 cm.

Beautiful red vase from German WMF, Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik.

WMF started producing glass as early as 1883, but it was not until the 1920s that they achieved great success with it. Their original glassworks was destroyed during World War I but a more modern one was built in 1922.

The Ikora technique is the second technique WMF develops in 1926 and the technique is discontinued in 1936.
It is briefly recorded after the war, but never achieves the same expression as before.

We estimate that this vase is from before World War II, due to its shape and size.

The vase is in good condition with dense inclusions in green and gold glitter
